Löhrer
Bio
Eric Löhrer, guitarist and composer, born in 1965. He begins playing professionally while studying philosophy at the university. His much-acclaimed debut album is released as he's 23.
He then composes and tours as a leader or co-leader (Eric Löhrer Trio / Open Air 1990-1993, Olympic Gramofon 1996, Solo 1998, Eric Löhrer Quartet 2008, Duet with Didier Malherbe 2011), while being a demanded and eclectic sideman.
On the jazz scene he's been playing with Jean-Michel Pilc, Andy Emler, Julien Lourau, Eric Barret, Edouard Ferlet, Elisabeth Kontomanou, Kellylee Evans, Hadouk Quartet… and on the pop/world scene with Ibrahim Maalouf, Rokia Traoré, Geoffrey Oryema, Jeanne Cherhal, Ornette, Alain Chamfort, Steve Nieve…
He's been teaching jazz and pop music at CRR de Paris since 2009.
